Citizen Science@TU Wien: Funding, Networks, Best Practice
Informationsveranstaltung
This event offers an introduction to citizen science in general and gives specific input for the cooperation between universities and schools. First, participants will get an overview of
• planning requirements and motives for citizen science projects,
• existing networks for cooperation, e.g. Citizen Science Network Austria, öffnet eine externe URL in einem neuen Fenster,
• funding schemes and calls in the field of citizen science,
• and best practice examples that will showcase how this participatory research approach can work.
In the second part of the event, information on general requirements for cooperation with schools and the first call for proposals of the newly launched funding program “Sparkling Science 2.0, öffnet eine externe URL in einem neuen Fenster” (2021-2026) will be offered.
The event will close with the presentation of best-practice examples of Sparkling Science projects conducted at TU Wien (Testimonials: Univ. Prof. Andreas Otto, Institute for Institute of Production Engineering and Photonic Technologies, Dr. Gottfried Koppensteiner, former Institute of Automation and Control, now TGM).
