Learning Journey - Managing Advanced Technologies (Deep Tech)
Bridge the gap between technology and strategy
with TU Wien Academy’s Learning Journey – Managing Advanced Technologies (Deep Tech).
For years, TU Wien has offered its MBA participants as well as specialists and executives the opportunity to broaden their horizons—quite literally. As part of our International Learning Journeys, we travel to the places where the future is being shaped: to the institutions, companies, and people who are defining global technology and economic trends.
Destinations
Looking back: Caltech in Pasadena, California
In recent years, our Learning Journey took us to the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). Caltech is one of the most prestigious research institutions in the world—and the direct exchange with scientists, founders, and executives from the tech environment has provided our participants with lasting impulses for their own work and organizations. The on-site encounters, insights into one of the world’s most concentrated innovation regions, and shared reflections made the Learning Journey a formative experience.
Next stop: South Korea
In 2027, we are opening a new chapter. With South Korea, we have chosen a destination that represents a different but equally fascinating form of innovation: characterized by speed, close collaboration between government and industry, world-class research, and a tech ecosystem that sets global benchmarks. From Seoul to Daejeon to Busan, our participants can expect an intensive encounter with a country in constant transformation—and the opportunity to transfer these learnings directly into their own organizations.
