We are delighted to welcome you to AOFKA 2027, taking place from July 5-7, 2027 in Vienna, Austria.

AOFKA is the new DACH conference series for applied surface and solid-state analysis, resulting from the merger of the AOFA and FKA conference series and building on a history of more than 50 years.

AOFKA has a strong interdisciplinary character, with a focus on scientific exchange between analytical-methodological developments and scientific-technological problem-solving. The conference covers all fields of research on solids and surfaces and features invited and contributed lectures as well as poster presentations from both academia and industry. Moreover, the conference is accompanied by a commercial exhibition featuring manufacturers of analytical equipment, as well as hands-on workshops.

The very broad range of topics, combined with the intimate character of the conference, has made AOFKA a very unique and highly valued event in the scientific community for many decades in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, as well as among participants from neighboring countries.

The intimate and inspiring atmosphere of the conference is further complemented by a unique evening at a “Heurigen”, a traditional Viennese wine tavern, as well as by the many historical and cultural attractions of the city of Vienna.
