Hotspot for the New Space Economy

Through exclusive visits to organisations such as Thales Alenia Space, ALTEC, Argotec, and the Politecnico di Torino, participants explore how cutting-edge technologies are transformed into commercial space missions, innovative products, and successful businesses.

The program combines technical presentations, exclusive facility tours, discussions with experts, and networking opportunities, highlighting the close interaction between industry, academia, and the New Space sector. Participants gain first-hand insights into spacecraft manufacturing, mission operations, sustainable space technologies, entrepreneurial ecosystems, and the future of human space exploration.

The Learning Journey offers exclusive access to facilities that are normally not open to the public, providing participants with unique insights into Europe's space industry and innovation landscape.

Thursday, November 5, 2026 – Space Systems, Mission Operations & Human Exploration

The Learning Journey begins with visits to Thales Alenia Space and ALTEC, two of Europe's leading organisations in spacecraft development and mission support. The participants gain exclusive insights into the design, integration, and operation of satellites, exploration systems, and human spaceflight infrastructure. Facility tours, including clean rooms and mission control facilities, are complemented by discussions on technology development, commercial applications, and the future of European space exploration. The day concludes with an informal networking aperitivo in Turin.

Friday, November 6, 2026 – New Space Innovation & Academic Excellence

The second day focuses on innovation and entrepreneurship. At Argotec, the participants explore how agile New Space companies transform advanced technologies into commercially successful products and services. They also visit SpacePark, Argotec's headquarters, located in the iconic circular building designed by the renowned Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer, where architectural heritage has been transformed into one of Europe's most advanced space technology campuses.

In the afternoon, the programme continues at the Politecnico di Torino, where participants gain insights into cutting-edge research in aerospace engineering and discuss emerging trends in space technologies, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the role of universities in driving innovation within the European space sector

Saturday, November 7, 2026 – European Space Programmes & the Future of Space Exploration

The final day brings together the experiences of the previous visits by providing an overview of Europe's major space programmes and the organisations that make them possible. Participants explore current and future European activities in Earth observation, telecommunications, navigation, human and robotic exploration, and lunar initiatives, with a particular focus on the contributions of Thales Alenia Space, ALTEC, and Argotec. The programme concludes with a visit to the Centro Storico FIAT Museum, offering an inspiring perspective on Turin's rich industrial heritage and its evolution into one of Europe's leading centres for engineering, advanced manufacturing, and aerospace innovation.
