You have successfully completed your MBA programme – congratulations on this fantastic achievement!
We would like to celebrate this special milestone with you and your loved ones, and we warmly invite you to the MBA graduation ceremony.
On this page, you will find all the important information about the event – from the programme and dress code to registration.
Please take a moment to read through everything and register yourself and your guests in good time.
We look forward to celebrating this special occasion with you!
Useful information
Arrival
Please arrive on time, 30 minutes before the start of the ceremony.
On site, you will receive your graduation cap and be given organizational instructions.
Dress code
We ask all graduates and guests to dress smartly for the occasion (e.g. a suit, dress, blouse, etc.).
Graduation caps
All graduates will receive a graduation cap as a memento of this special day.
We ask that you wear the cap during the ceremony.
Group photo
After receiving the graduation cap, a group photo will be taken.
Ceremonial entrance
After the group photo, the graduates will be welcomed by the program managers and line up in alphabetical order.
As the orchestra begins to play, the graduates will enter the hall together.
For all graduates, seats are reserved by name.
Guests
To ensure that all guests can enjoy the festive atmosphere, we kindly ask you to limit the number of guests to a maximum of three.
Children are also welcome. Please note that the ceremony will last approximately two hours.
Photos
Professional photos will be taken during and after the ceremony.
These will be available for download for the graduates afterwards.
Visas for international guests
If you or your guests require a visa to enter Austria, please make sure to arrange this in good time.

FAQs
Graduation ceremonies are usually held in May and November in the TU Wien’s ceremonial halls.
Please confirm your attendance and the number of accompanying guests (maximum 3) at the latest 14 days in advance by emailing ace-studentservices@tuwien.ac.at
If you need to cancel at short notice, please let us know by emailing ace-studentservices@tuwien.ac.at
We recommend travelling by public transport.
Parking spaces cannot be guaranteed. The entire city is a short-term parking zone with a maximum parking time of 2 hours. This regulation is in force from 9 am to 10 pm. More to parking in Vienna, opens an external URL in a new window
Paid underground car parks are located nearby.
Follow the signs or ask the doorman.
Graduates should arrive at the latest 30 minutes before the ceremony begins.
This time is needed for a group photo, collecting your graduation cap and for sharing general information regarding the ceremony.
All graduates and up to three accompanying guests (limited seating) are warmly welcome.
Yes, three guests are permitted per graduate: please register in good time, no later than 14 days in advance, at ace-studentservices@tuwien.ac.at
Yes, seating is available. Guests are free to choose their own seats, whilst graduates are allocated fixed seats.
We kindly ask the guests to arrive 10 minutes early.
Seating with space for strollers is indicated.
Late entry is permitted, but only at specific times.
In keeping with the occasion, we would kindly ask you to wear formal attire (e.g. a suit, dress, blouse, etc.)

The official ceremony will last approximately two hours. This will be followed by a relaxed get-together.

Yes, a professional photographer will be on-site. The photos will be available for download for the graduates afterwards.
Yes, but please make sure you don’t disrupt the proceedings.
If you are unable to attend, the final documents can be sent by post. Please contact ace-studentservices@tuwien.ac.at
