Leadership in transition: understanding artificial intelligence as a leader

On September 17, 2024, an inspiring course on “Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Leadership” took place at the TU Wien Academy, which was enthusiastically received by our alumni.

Newsmeldung

Mr. Christoph Tatzber alumnus of our MSc Engineering Management program, ISO-certified AI manager and experienced executive, gave our alumni valuable insights into the world of AI and its diverse applications.

The course focused on topics such as “What is artificial intelligence?”, “Machine learning vs. deep learning” and “Automation”. It was explained how AI can be used effectively, both for everyday tasks and in strategic management. Particular emphasis was placed on the differences between RPA (Robotic Process Automation) and AI, as well as the question of whether AI is synonymous with automation.

With practical examples from everyday business life and concrete tips for application in management practice, such as the use of Copilot for Business, the participants were able to gain a comprehensive overview of current developments and possibilities of AI. Christoph Tatzber, who knows the challenges of AI and automation not only from theory but also from practice, expertly guided the group through the discussions and showed how managers can use AI effectively.

The interactive discussion round was particularly well received. The participants engaged in lively discussions about the impact of AI and possible support options in various business processes. The exchange of experiences and perspectives showed the relevance and high demand for knowledge in this area. The feedback from the participants was consistently positive, which impressively underlines the success of the event.

In addition to the exchange of content, the workshop provided the perfect opportunity for networking. The significance and importance of artificial intelligence in the modern working world was impressively illustrated by the event, and the participants were able to expand their knowledge and take away new ideas for application in their own environment.

Thanks to Christoph Tatzber for introducing us to the world of AI.

As part of the ACE Community, events are held on a regular basis that allow current topics from science and practice to be discussed together. Look forward to the next events and keep your finger on the pulse in an increasingly fast-paced digital world.
