Save the Date: Future Leadership Forum 2025

On October 6th, TU Wien Academy is organizing an event for executives: the Future Leadership Forum 2025 with the title "Lost in Transformation - Leadership in Times of Change." Unlike traditional conferences, this event aims for participants to spend less time listening to static lectures and more time sharing their experiences from the past years and discussing the future of leadership.

[Translate to English:] Future Leadership Forum 2025

In the past five years, CEOs and executive management in Europe have faced a variety of challenges that have tested their leadership skills. We have identified the following six challenges:

  1. Global uncertainties and geopolitical tensions: Conflicts, trade wars, and political instability have influenced the economic situation and created uncertainties for businesses.
  2. COVID-19 pandemic: The pandemic has caused significant disruptions in supply chains, work processes, and markets. Many companies had to quickly adapt their business models.
  3. Digitalization and technological transformation: Rapid technological advances require continuous adaptation and innovation to remain competitive.
  4. Sustainability and ESG requirements: The pressure to operate more sustainably and meet environmental, social, and governance criteria has increased.
  5. Skills shortage: The lack of qualified personnel complicates workforce planning and development.
  6. Changing work behaviors: The trend towards remote work and flexible work models demands new leadership approaches.

So, what does it take in the future for leaders not just to react short-term but to shape change sustainably? Successful leaders are those who continuously develop themselves and can respond flexibly to changing conditions.

One form of development is offered for the first time by the Future Leadership Forum, held at TU Wien. All participants of this one-day event will take part in roundtable sessions to discuss the future of leadership together with experts from business and academia. Participants will learn from experienced leaders who face similar challenges, as well as from internationally recognized researchers at various universities. Additionally, the audience will benefit from inspiring keynotes and an exclusive tour of Vienna’s Karlsplatz.

The TU Wien Academy is and will continue to be an important partner for managers and CEOs in Austria who want to strengthen their leadership role.
