Onsite Lecture and plant tour at Volkswagen Slovakia in Bratislava

The 10th Professional MBA Automotive Industry started with 15 participants from 8 countries. On November 7, 2019 the participants of the 10th Professional MBA Automotive Industry visited the Volkswagen Slovakia plant. Since the start of car production in 1992 Volkswagen Slovakia has produced more than 5 million cars in five different brands, like Volkswagen Touareg, Audi Q7, Audi Q8, Volkswagen up!, Škoda Citigo, SEAT Mii and part of Bentley.

Mr. Alexander Matusek welcome participants and introduced the Volkswagen Group and also characteristics of the plant in Bratislava. He also mentioned the important role of Volkswagen Slovakia for the Slovak economy. Mr. Jankovic spoke about the efforts and measures for the quality assurance in the plant. Mrs. Novakova gave a lecture on connecting technologies which are used in Volkswagen plant in Bratislava. Afterwards, the participants visited the press shop and the body shop of Porsche Cayenne and the aggregate hall of New Small Family (NSF) and Sport Utility Vehicles (SUV). Students could get the detailed information about the technological equipment, logistics solutions and individual operational processes.
