Final project presentation of the new real estate managers

It is the annual highlight of the Real Estate Management university course. As part of a project presentation, the graduating class presents the results of the so-called implementation project, in which the knowledge gained throughout the course can be applied in a practical context in group work.

As every year, a real property is used for this implementation project and the students have to develop a concept for the use of the old building themselves in small groups. This year, this involved a property in Ottakringer Strasse in Vienna's 17th district. The scope for design is limited only by the fact that the existing building may not be demolished in order to erect a new building on the site.

The task included a refurbishment concept, calculations on the value of the property and the planned project, as well as determining the target group for a subsequent letting of the property. During the presentation itself, each of the groups presented one aspect of their project to the plenum, because despite all the specialist knowledge, presenting also needs to be learned if you aspire to a managerial position in the real estate industry. All participants completed the task with flying colors and the presentations also earned the praise of course director Prof. Thomas Malloth and course director Prof. Dr. Bob Martens, FRICS. Once again, it was clear that after four semesters, our students on the ULG Real Estate Economics & Property Management course have indeed acquired the tools they need to succeed in the real estate industry. 

The next 30 participants (max.) of the ULG Real Estate Management will start their course in autumn. Registration has already started and is still possible until July 31.
