In 2021, 2,316 TU Wien media contributions were observed. 1,169 contributions (50.47 %) in online media, 1,004 contributions (43.35 %) in national daily newspapers and 143 contributions (6.18 %) in weekly newspapers/magazines. Top media were: Die Presse (219 contributions), orf.at (207), Wiener Bezirkszeitung (38). The faculties with the highest presence were Computer Science (400) and Civil Engineering (358). They were followed by the faculties of architecture and spatial planning (267), physics (151), mechanical engineering and management sciences (135), technical chemistry (100), electrical engineering and information technology (90) and mathematics (68). The topic with the highest presence was Corona (including model calculations and forecasts, waste water analyses).

Tonality

The tonality index of the TU Wien in 2021 is 84.6 % neutral, 14.6 % positive, 0.4 % ambivalent and 0.3 % negative.
