Maja Kevdzija

Dr.-Ing., Assistant Professor (career position) in Healthcare Design at the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, TU Wien. Previously, she worked as a research assistant at the TU Dresden, Chair of Social and Health Buildings. Her research and teaching focus is on the relationship between the built environment of healthcare buildings and their users, and on empirical research methods in architecture. Her study on mobility supporting rehabilitation clinics for stroke patients has been awarded several national and international prizes, notably the European Healthcare Design Award 2021 in the Design Research category (UK), the EDRA Certificate of Research Excellence (CORE) 2021 with Merit Status (USA), and the Commendation for the Research Award 2021 of the Fürst Donnersmarck Foundation (DE). She is currently the coordinator of an interdisciplinary European research project BUILD CARE, combining the fields of architecture, health economics and cognitive neuroscience.
