Birgit Knauer

Birgit Knauer studied art history and Romanticism at the University of Vienna. After completing her PhD, she worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Heritage Conservation at the University of Bamberg, Germany. Since 2020, she has been researching and teaching at the Department of Heritage Conservation at the TU Wien, focusing in particular on the architecture of post‐war modernism and the discourse and practice of urban planning and conservation in the 20th century.
