7th FemChem Scientific Workshop 2026
7th FemChem Scientific Workshop 2026 – From Breakdown to Breakthrough
Date: 13th of March 2026
Time: 9:00 – open end
Location: TUtheSky
The FemChem Scientific Workshop 2026 is an one-day TU-internal conference for all genders that provides a space for open scientific exchange. The focus this year is not only on current research results, but also on real stories from everyday research life: what worked, and what did not. The aim is to foster honest and supportive discussions about successes, setbacks, and learning processes. Afterwards, the workshop will conclude with a networking event, offering an informal setting for further discussion and connection among participants.
To recognize and celebrate outstanding contributions, prizes will be awarded for the best oral and poster presentation, as well as an audience award.
Presentations are organized by experience level and time of day:
- Morning sessions: early-stage researchers (< 2 years PhD, Masterstudents)
- Afternoon sessions: advanced researchers (> 2 years PhD)
Speakers are strongly encouraged to reflect on both achievements and setbacks and, where appropriate, include a slide highlighting “mistakes,” unexpected results, or approaches that did not work as planned. Sharing these experiences is entirely voluntary and should only be done to the extent each participant feels comfortable.
- Attendance is possible with or without an active contribution.
- The provided template for the abstract needs to be used for submission.
- All submissions will be reviewed, and successful applicants will be notified.
- The Registration for participation without contribution is based on a “first come, first served” principle.
If you have any questions or encounter technical difficulties during registration, please contact the FemChem team via email (femchem.networking@tuwien.ac.at).
We look forward to welcoming you!
