On April 4th, our friends from Team LAMARRacing visited us in Vienna. LAMARRacing is the official Roboracer team of the University of Bonn, founded in 2024. Since then, the team is very active in the Roboracer community and pushing the state of the art for model-based and reactive control methods. Recently, we met at the race at the CDC in Milano.
In our lecture on Autonomous Racing Cars, team LAMARRacing gave an invited talk on their racing stack, bringing new and interesting ideas to our students at TU Wien. We also presented our Scuderia Segfault racing stack and sparked discussions for various future improvements.
We were excited to not only exchange a lot of ideas in the field of autonomous driving, but also to host an informal, friendly race in our lab. Scuderia Segfault against LAMARRacing was quite a thrilling race, however, we are not disclosing any results here ;-)
