The GreenChem TechHub is a doctoral college funded by the FFG that offers 8 fully funded PhD positions at the intersection of green chemistry, biotechnology, and sustainable chemical engineering.

  • Duration: 2025–2029 (4 years)

  • Positions: 8 doctoral researchers (30h/week, 4 years)

  • Institutions involved: TU Wien, University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), and University of Vienna

  • Industry partners: New Path Bio, Vogelbusch, Voestalpine, BASF, AGRANA, Boehringer, RDP

  • Model: 3 years at university + 1 year embedded in industry (or with secondment)

Mission:
To train highly qualified researchers in sustainable chemical processes, renewable raw materials utilization, energy-efficient technologies, and environmentally benign production methods.
