New Master's in Geodesy and Geoinformation at TU Wien
We are excited to announce the new English-taught Master's program in Geodesy and Geoinformation at TU Wien (Vienna University of Technology) - designed for students aiming to tackle global challenges through spatial data, Earth system modeling, and geodetic science.
Program Focus Areas
- Space Geodesy & Earth Observation
Satellite geodesy, GNSS, and satellite-based Earth monitoring
- Remote Sensing & Photogrammetry
Optical and radar remote sensing, UAV photogrammetry, 3D reconstruction
- Environmental and Climate Monitoring
Applications of geospatial technologies in climate research and environmental change
- Geoinformation & Cartography
GIS, spatial data infrastructures, digital cartography, data visualization
- Engineering Geodesy & Monitoring
Precise measurements, deformation monitoring, geodetic instrumentation
- Geophysics and Earth System Science
Earth structure, gravity field, geodynamics, and related modeling
The duration of the Master’s program in Geodesy and Geoinformation at TU Wien is 4 semesters. It is structured modularly, allowing students to tailor their studies to specific interests within the field. Core modules provide a strong foundation in geodesy, while elective modules and practical projects enable specialization.
Why Vienna?
Ranked among the most livable cities globally, Vienna offers a vibrant academic environment, cultural richness, and excellent quality of life.
Tuition fees?
At TU Wien, students from the EU, EEA, and certain other countries like Switzerland and Turkey are generally exempt from tuition fees during the regular study period.
