I am a mechanical engineer and PhD-student in materials science, working on the influence of boron in microalloyed steel. The main focus lies on thermokinetic simulation and adaption of thermodynamic databases using the CALPHAD method. By carrying out key experiments, we review the results of the simulations.

Currently, I am especially interested in the interaction of the surface with the surrounding atmosphere and researching the influence of varying oxygen partial pressure on the decarburization of the surface near regions.

I would be pleased to answer your questions regarding my work.
