Objective: Those affected by discrimination will be provided with a low-threshold first point of contact.

Description: The A-Team (anti-discrimination team), trained by the City of Hannover's anti-discrimination office, is the first low-threshold point of contact for students at LUH. Fellow students can talk to them about (their) experiences of discrimination in a safe environment. With the peer-to-peer approach, they can provide unbureaucratic support on an equal footing and make targeted referrals if necessary. New educational institutions from different educational sectors are currently participating in the project as cooperation partners of the Anti-Discrimination Office of the City of Hanover. The LUH is one of them.

Objective: deepen the understanding of visible and hidden memories of sexual and gender diversity and examine their impact on historical narratives, with a focus on making marginalized histories—especially those of women—more visible.

Description: This event provides a platform to discuss the complexities of memories related to sexual and gender dissidence, emphasizing the interplay between secrecy and openness. Participants analyzed archival materials, oral histories, and the legacies of individuals and communities who have challenged traditional norms. The sessions also addressed the need for inclusive historical methods and strategies to amplify underrepresented voices, with particular attention to women’s contributions often overlooked in conventional historiography.
