About me

In my Bachelor’s and Master’s, I studied Computational Engineering Science at RWTH Aachen University, Germany, finishing in 2021. Since autumn 2021, I have been pursuing my doctoral studies under Prof. Stefanie Elgeti’s supervision at the Institute of Lightweight Design and Structural Biomechanics at the TU Wien.

Research

My research field is inverse design in the injection molding process. The topic divides into two parts: the simulation of the process and the improvement by inverse design methods. The numerical simulation of the process by finite-elements / isogeometric analysis lays the foundation. The next step is altering the influencing factors: the shape of the cavity, temperature and design of cooling channels, and the coupling of different phases of the process. This phase provides the potential for applying various methods, such as numerical (adjoint-based) optimization, shape optimization, topology optimization, and model order reduction.
