About me

My journey into the world of science began at Bryansk State University where I completed the Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Physics. My diploma thesis focused on the thermal conductivity of solid-state materials for optoelectronics. Even though I did classical physics, I have always been interested in its biological inclination. This passion led to Peter the Great Saint-Petersburg Polytechnic University, where I continued my path by pursuing a Master’s degree in Biophysics. Under the supervision of Dr. Margarita Glazova, I performed my Master’s thesis project titled “The role of c-Abl in the regulation of p53-dependent activation of ERK-signalling cascade” at the Sechenov Institute of evolutionary physiology and biochemistry and the Laboratory of the comparative biochemistry of cellular functions. After graduation, I kept working in this lab on a project called «Molecular mechanisms of regulation of the hippocampus functional state under antiorthostatic condition».

Currently, under the supervision of Prof. Philipp J. Thurner, I am conducting my PhD at TU Wien within the Mature Tissue doctoral school at the Institute of Lightweight Design and Structural Biomechanics.

Research

My current research interest lies in the filed of Experimental Biomechanics. In More detail, my research focuses on the micromechanics of tendons and their modifications under inflammatory conditions.
