Organisation

The University is led by the Rector and four Vice Rectors (who are responsible for Research and Innovation, Academic Affairs, Digitalisation and Infrastructure as well as Human Resources and Gender).

Monitoring, advisory, legislative and strategic tasks, such as issuing curricula, are undertaken by the Senate (26 members). The University Council (7 members), represents the owners and acts as the governing body.

TU Wien has eight faculties: Architecture and Planning, Technical Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Sciences, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Mathematics and Geoinformation, Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, and Physics.

Senate

The Senate is the highest collegial body and comprises 26 representatives from all stakeholder groups (professors, non-professorial teaching staff, general staff, students).

Faculties

Eight faculties with their institutes cover the classic engineering and scientific fields.
