Key themes set by the Senate for the SKC for the 2026/2027 academic year

The further development of the guidelines for drawing up study programmes should focus on:

  • Ensuring that current guidelines (particularly for Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes) and the associated LaTeX templates are consistent
o Target date: end of September 2026 – report to be presented at the Senate meeting in October 2026
  • Developing a process to ensure that LaTeX templates comply with the guidelines and that there are no discrepancies between the two. Guidelines for standard degree programmes and the associated templates are to be revised no more than once per academic year and finalised in such a way that they can be read at the first Senate meeting of the academic year (October) and submitted for approval at the following meeting (December). At the time of approval by the Senate, the associated LaTeX templates must be consistent with the guidelines. Exceptions to this rule are purely editorial corrections that have no impact on the content, as well as the timely incorporation of changes resulting from legislative amendments adopted during the academic year.
o Target dates for the 2026/2027 academic year: October (1st Senate meeting) and December (2nd Senate meeting) of each academic year
  • Incorporation of mobility provisions into the guidelines for Bachelor’s degree programmes
o Target date: reading at the Senate meeting in October 2026 and submission for approval at the Senate meeting in December 2026
  • Development of a standardised form for the assessment of study programmes, containing the following information: assessing body, comments, the Study Programme Committee’s response to the comments
o Target date: Report to the Senate meeting in December 2026
  • Development of simple documentation to record the development and implementation of the long-term content of the Stukos’ key themes across academic years. This will assist the Stukos, the SKC and the Senate in the Stukos’ self-monitoring
o Target date: Report to be presented at the Senate meeting in January 2027
  • Transitional provisions: Development of structural guidelines for transitional provisions in the event of multiple changes to degree programmes
o Target date: Reading at the Senate meeting in October 2026 and submission for approval at the Senate meeting in December 2026
  • Revision of the guidelines for ULGs
o Target date: Reading at the Senate meeting in December 2027 and submission for approval at the Senate meeting in January 2028
