Women are still under-represented at TU Wien and subsequently in the technical world of work. In addition to reasons of fairness, economic arguments in particular speak in favour of motivating more girls and women to successfully complete a technical degree: there is a low proportion of women among technical specialists, while the level of qualification of women who have completed their studies at TU Wien is high. To summarise: a lot of potential remains untapped.
Through cooperation, companies can actively and sustainably engage with the increased number of female technicians in the future. This allows companies to attract the attention of both female students and multipliers, and to increase the level of awareness among girls and women.
