Associate Prof. Dr.-Ing. Maja Kevdzija, opens an external URL in a new window has been affiliated with the Institute of Architecture and Design, opens an external URL in a new window (E253) at the Faculty of Architecture and Planning, opens an external URL in a new window at TU Wien as an Associate Professor of Health Care Design since February 1, 2026.

CV: Maja Kevdžija is originally from Serbia and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the University of Belgrade. She continued her Master’s studies in Architecture at TU Delft in the Netherlands. From 2015 to 2020, she moved to Germany and completed her doctoral studies at the Faculty of Architecture at TU Dresden. Her dissertation, completed in 2020 and titled Mobility-supporting rehabilitation clinics, opens an external URL in a new window, was awarded summa cum laude and received multiple national and international awards, including the Healthcare Environment Award 2020 (USA), the European Healthcare Design Award 2021 (UK), and the EDRA Certificate of Research Excellence (CORE) 2021 with Merit Status. In 2021, Maja Kevdžija secured a tenure track position in Health Care Design at TU Wien, which she has now successfully completed with the qualification of Associate Professor.

Her scientific home is in the Building Science and Design Research Group, opens an external URL in a new window (E253-01). Her research interests lie in the field of healthcare design, particularly in evidence-based design and the development of rehabilitation environments for stroke patients.
