Strategic Monitoring :: Analyses :: Project Development

The three core areas of responsibility of the “Steering Unit Internationalisation” are, on the one hand, to systematically record and evaluate the department’s international activities and, on the other hand, to relate these to the strategic objectives set by the Rectorate and the department.

This results in a portfolio of tasks for the “Steering Unit Internationalisation” that covers a broad spectrum, such as monitoring international activities, analysing the potential of international partnerships and collaborations, developing measures, conducting process analyses and producing reports for decision-makers and stakeholders, project development, and even compiling information on the topic of “Research Security”.

The internationalisation indicators form the basis for the areas of responsibility described.

Empirical quantitative and qualitative evaluation and monitoring of the department’s past and ongoing activities enable a standardised assessment of the current state of our international activities, allowing us to compare them with past performance in order to predict future performance and recommend measures for further development.

Project development, reporting and the establishment of standards through guidelines, templates and strategic recommendations are key objectives.

Strategic evaluation, monitoring and analysis of international activities provide a comprehensive overview of past and ongoing activities, yielding new findings and new knowledge. This foundation serves as a basis for the further development of activities and provides insights for new projects.

One important ongoing project is the development of standardised internationalisation indicators to measure our level of internationalisation.
