Welcome, Sotiris!

Change on the fly in our developer team: On 1st March, Sotirios Tsepelakis took over desk and duties from Florian Wörister.

Our new team member is a bachelor student at the Department of Information & Electronic Engineering, opens an external URL in a new window of the International Hellenic University in Thessaloniki. He is currently working on his bachelor thesis, which focuses on the architecture and implementation parts of a privacy-preserving data analysis platform. His main interests include web development and databases while his research focuses on machine-actionable data management plans (maDMPs), secure data repositories, and privacy preserving data analysis.

Sotirios was previously part of TU Wien’s Research Unit of Information and Software Engineering, opens an external URL in a new window, where he gained experience with the open source software Invenio Framework to build a module for automating the use of maDMPs. Additionally, he worked at SBA Research as part of the FFG WellFort, opens an external URL in a new window project, in which he contributed to the project’s architecture components and was responsible for the proof of concept implementation. Sotiris is also a member of Tlab Thessaloniki, opens an external URL in a new window and the Things Network Thessaloniki community, opens an external URL in a new window, where he worked on several IoT projects.

At the Center for Research Data Management, Sotiris is contributing to the development of the TU Wien research data repository and the integration of existing and new systems like TUgitLab, opens an external URL in a new window, TU DMP Tool, opens an external URL in a new window, the future database repository of TU Wien and others.
