Successful TUWEL Update

Major Update for TUWEL to Version 4.2 Introduces New Features and Design Changes

The team at the Department of Teaching and Learning Technologies has recently released one of the largest updates for TUWEL - the central teaching platform of TU Wien (Vienna University of Technology). The update to Moodle Version 4.2 not only presents a new design but also brings a range of new features that significantly enhance usability.

New Design

One of the most noticeable changes in the new version is the revamped design, offering a more modern and tailored interface to TU Wien. The new layout allows for a clearer presentation of content and a more intuitive navigation through the platform.

Course Index as Table of Contents

The introduction of the course index as a table of contents is another feature of the update. Instructors and students can now instantly see the available resources and activitieswithin a course. This promotes quicker and more targeted navigation within courses.

Improved Help Button

To make the usage of TUWEL even more user-friendly, the help button has been optimized. This button now provides quicker access to frequently needed information.

Email Notifications for Content Changes

With TUWEL 4.2, instructors and students have the option to enable email notifications for content changes in courses. This function allows staying up-to-date when new materials or updates become available.

These and many other features will be introduced during a feature presentation at TUtheSky. The teams from the Department of Digital Teaching and Learning and the Department of Teaching and Learning Technologies will jointly present the significant novelties and changes in TUWEL. The presentation will be opened by Ms. Mag.a iur. Dr.in iur. Jasmin Gründling-Riener, the designated Vice Rector for Teaching.
