The interdisciplinary stakeholder platform is supported by the universities but extends far beyond them in terms of its members and orientation.

The Open Science Austria (OSA) platform, recently launched by the Austrian University Conference uniko, opens an external URL in a new window, offers interested parties inside and outside the Austrian university sector the opportunity to get an overview of activities in the field of Open Science, to exchange information, and to network. In this function, the platform replaces the Open Science Network Austria (OANA).

Tasks

OSA clearly presents general Open Science knowledge and provides an overview of current national and international Open Science initiatives and strategies. The platform also sees itself as a communicative hub and provides, among other things, a blog for exchange within the community. Temporary working groups will be set up as required to deal with specific issues relating to Open Science on a strategic and operational level.
