Join us for a two-day workshop designed to empower women in leadership roles within STEM fields, focusing on mental health, self-confidence, and work-life balance. Through a blend of self-reflection and interactive exercises, participants will explore their strengths and challenges in leadership, develop strategies for effective time management, and build supportive networks. This workshop offers actionable insights and tools for long-term personal and professional growth. 

What can you expect?   

We offer you a safe space for discussion of obstacles that female scientists face when striving towards leadership and equip you with tools to overcome these problems.

Some general topics that will be addressed are: 

  • Goal-setting and self-reflection
  • Discussions on leadership and confidence for women in STEM
  • Leadership styles and competences
  • Interactive sessions on time management and work-life balance
  • Final reflection and feedback 

Hard Facts 

This training will take place in person on Thursday, November 21st from 9 am to 5 pm and Friday, November 22nd 9 am to 4:30 pm at Campus Getreidemarkt (seminar room BE01, Lückenbau BE). The course will be held in English by our experienced trainer Marilyn Hamminger, opens an external URL in a new window. As this is a gender-sensitive topic, this course will be held as female-only course. To get the best learning experience from this course, the number of participants is limited to 15 participants.The training targets especially postdoctoral researchers and professors, but we also highly encourage PhD and master students to sign up!
