Katharina Rauchenwald receives the Best Poster Award at CellMAT 2022

Best Poster Award for Katharina Rauchenwald

The 7th International Conference on Cellular Materials – CellMAT took place from October 12 to 14, 2022, as a hybrid event (both on-site and online) in the historic Baroque city of Dresden, Germany. CellMAT, held biennially, brings together scientists from materials science, physics, chemistry, and process engineering to share the latest findings on cellular materials. What makes CellMAT particularly noteworthy is its broad coverage of all material classes, from metals and ceramics to polymers and composites. This makes the conference a unique interdisciplinary platform that fosters inspiring exchanges between industry and academia.

International experts presented on applications of cellular materials across various fields, including biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, energy conversion, chemical systems, and environmental protection. The three-day conference served as a key discussion forum for researchers, manufacturers, and end-users of cellular materials. A highlight was the award ceremony for the top three posters, with Katharina Rauchenwald receiving the Best Poster Award for her outstanding scientific presentation, "Photopolymerization-assisted ice-templating of porous polysiloxane-derived ceramics with tailored pore morphology."
