COVID-19 brought significant problems to the automotive and supplier industries on an unknown scale. After the hard shutdown, companies are slowly starting a soft re-start in production. In order to give a positive impulse to the automotive industry after the turbulent year 2020 and also to support young talented managers, the TU Academy for Continuing Education of the TU Wien (TUW ACE) has announced two "ReStart Scholarships".
At the online hearing on March 30, 2021, Mr. Matija Sturm from Slovenia and Mr. Eduan Howard from South Africa convinced the jury of their qualification and motivation to participate in the MBA program.
Mr. Sturm has been working in the automotive industry for several years. He realized that working in this industry means a lot of challenges, constant personal growth and development. With the MBA Automotive Industry program, he wants to expand his network and further acquire practical know-how based on business cases. Mr. Eduan Howard is from South Africa and worked in electric motor research. He is currently working at Magna Porwetrain in Traiskirchen. For him, MBA Automotive Industry is an ideal program to expand his knowledge beyond technical expertise and learn soft skills to effectively lead a team and/or project in the future.
Congratulations to the winners and good luck with the new MBA program!
