New Executive Board Member at EAPRIL: Fazel Ansari

Dr.-Ing. Fazel Ansari from Institute of Management Science, Division of Industrial and Systems Engineering, of the TU Wien has been elected as the Executive Board Member of the European Association for Practitioner Research on Improving Learning (EAPRIL)

The European Association for Practitioner Research on Improving Learning (EAPRIL) is to support practice and research in lifelong learning in interacting, collaborating and benefitting from each other's roles and strengths with the aim to contribute to the professional development of both. Nowadays, Industry 4.0 and digital transformation highly influences human learning paradigms and this raises demands from world of education and practice to research and theory development especially in the context of engineering education. By organizing interactive activities through ten thematic Cloud communities as well as the annual EAPRIL conference with the Corporate Learning day, EAPRIL aims to offer a platform for practitioners and researchers to interact, collaborate and share knowledge and, as a result, enhance practice.

Dr.-Ing. Fazel Ansari joined the Institute of Management Science at the TU Wien since January 2017. His main research and teaching interests are on applied Knowledge Management in Industry 4.0, especially in knowledge-based and human-centered maintenance of Cyber Physical Production Systems. In his interdisciplinary research, he deals with mutual human-machine learning and hybridization of learning at the smart- and learning factories. Besides his research and teaching activities, he coordinates the Cloud 6-ICT, Media and Learning and contributes in practice-oriented research and knowledge transfer activities at the EAPRIL.
