On 2 June 2020, the first written attendance examinations at TU Wien will begin under severe restrictions. We would like to provide some important information before the start.

Coronavirus – Update 29.05.2020

ℹ️ If you have questions please contact: coronainfo@tuwien.ac.at

If you were already registered for an examination before 20 May 2020, you should check whether the date may have changed due to the restrictions, or whether the date will take place as planned.

Entering the building & passes

When entering the building, an MNS mask must already be worn and the "pass" for students must be kept ready so that it can be shown to the porter directly at the entrance. The pass, which you will receive via TISS 48 to 24 hours before the start of the exam, can either be brought along digitally on your mobile phone (please remember to download it!) or in printed form. On it you will also find a link, opens an external URL in a new window to information about how exactly the way to your lecture hall looks like and which entrance or exit to choose.

Please also note that you should arrive at the entrance in front of the building at least 30 minutes before the start of the exam to ensure that everything runs as smoothly as possible. Of course, guidance systems are also available in the building.

The security service is not allowed to permit you to enter without an MNS mask AND pass, so please do not forget!

After entering the building, we kindly ask you to go to the appropriate lecture hall without delay. There are appropriate signs and signposts. There the identity check will be carried out by the examiner (please always take your student card with you).

In the lecture hall

In all lecture halls that are approved for examinations, the seats to be used were numbered and marked. This numbering corresponds to the numbering that you can find on the allocation plan on the room information page in coLAB, opens an external URL in a new window - there you can also have a close look at the route to the lecture halls in advance so that you are prepared accordingly.

After completing the identity check, students can remove their mask and store it in a suitable container, provided they are sitting in their seat.

The first sheet of the exam will be a safety instruction, which must be signed and returned with the exam.

Ending the examination and leaving the examination lecture hall

We recommend to leave the exam upside down on the table for delivery, so that the examiner can collect all exams after finishing.

Each lecture hall has also been assigned certain exits, which are to be used when leaving the TU Vienna. You will find these in the same plan as the accesses to the lecture halls. If possible, please do not leave the examination early, unless the safety distance can be maintained accordingly.

FAQs on attendance examinations, opens an external URL in a new window can be found in coLAB for both students and teachers. There you can also ask new questions under the comments.

Thank you very much for your support in coping with the situation!
