From September 18th to 20th, the CO2Refinery team gathered for a productive summer workshop at Flackl Wirt in Reichenau an der Rax. With a breathtaking view of the Rax mountains, the seminar room provided the perfect setting for reflecting on past achievements, assessing the current status, and planning the future of the CO2Refinery doctoral school.

The event kicked off with the PhD students sharing their experiences in teaching, leading to insightful discussions. This was followed by a presentation from Prof. Michael Harasek, who revisited the original CO2Refinery proposal. His talk set the stage for a deeper reflection on the development and progress of the CO2Refinery process chains. Discussions continued informally during scenic walks around Reichenau and social gatherings at Flackl Wirt, where participants also enjoyed the variety of animals hosted at the venue.

The workshop successfully aligned the team on the current progress and upcoming milestones within the doctoral college. It was decided to hold a final CO2Refinery Symposium on February 25th 2025, so stay tuned for updates on CO2 utilization technologies being developed within the CO2Refinery doctoral school at TU Wien!

A special thanks to Alexandra Bauer and Michael Harasek for their exceptional efforts in organizing the workshop!
