The ICT congratulates Paul Bauer, Jonathan Kapfinger, Thomas Leopold, Stefan Wilker and Thilo Sauter for the Best Paper Award at the IWIS conference in South Korea!

We are very pleased to announce that Paul Bauer received the Best Paper Award at the 4th International Workshop on Intelligent Systems (IWIS) in South Korea. The paper entitled “DER Control: Harnessing DDPG and MILP for Enhanced Performance in Active Energy Management” was recognized by the conference jury for its excellent scientific contribution.

In this publication, the team from the Energy&IT group deals with the comparison of optimization- and AI-based control methods for energy-intensive low-voltage consumers in residential areas, which opens up new approaches for the peak flattening of load profiles and increased resilience of the energy infrastructure. The award underlines not only the scientific quality of the research, but also its innovative and practical approach.

The institute congratulates Energy&IT on this success and is proud of its outstanding achievements in research.
