In 2024, TU Wien will once again be taking part in Airpower 2024 in Zeltweg on 6 and 7 September. The Research Department of Machine Elements and Transmissions for Aviation (Prof. Weigand, Prof. Mad) will be representing TU Wien, the Faculty of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering and the Institute of Engineering Design and Product Development with two exhibition stands. One stand will be at the Airpower technology and business exhibition, where talks will be held with company representatives and high-ranking representatives from politics and associations.

A special highlight is the SKILLSHUB, which is being held for the first time and aims to inspire young people aged between 13 and 19 to pursue a career in aviation. The goal of making aviation as climate-neutral as possible poses major challenges. At the SKILLHUB stand of TU Wien, visitors can interactively engage with virtual reality demonstrations, gearbox assembly and helicopter gearboxes, among other things.
