500 Visitors at the Long Night of Research

The Surface Physics Group, in collaboration with colleagues in the special Research programme TACO, was presenting science to the public at the Long Night of Research.

The Long Night of Research (Lange Nacht der Forschung, opens an external URL in a new window) 2024 was a great success! Roughly 500 visitors came to the site TuTheSky in the energy-plus tower of the TU Wien. At one of the booths, the Surface Physics Group, together with other members of the special research programme TACO, opens an external URL in a new window, was presenting experiments, including a hands-on model of an atomic force microscope and experiments with liquid nitrogen.
