FWF: International Cooperations – The Missing Manual

Information Event

In this webinar, the Funding  Support unit provides background information on the differences and specifics of the individual international funding programmes and the corresponding dos and don'ts when applying.

Speaker:

Christian Maszl-Kantner | TUW

Prof. Heidrun Halbwirth | (Institute of Process Engineering, Environmental Technology and Technical Biosciences)

Agenda:

The FWF supports international cooperations in basic research through several funding opportunities. The Individual Projects International funding programme consists of country-specific calls for proposals (‘international cooperation’).

Multilateral initiatives receive tailored support from the FWF to enable them to carry out multilateral research projects. These include European partnerships, ERA-NETs, the Belmont Forum and participation in cooperative programmes run by the DFG and FWF.

This information is explained in a practical way using a real-life example from Prof. Heidrun Halbwirth (Institute of Process Engineering, Environmental Technology and Technical Biosciences) and a TUW-intern study results on interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research at TU Wien.
