EULiST – European University Alliance Linking Society and Technology

TU Wien is part of the European University Alliance EULiST, which connects ten universities from ten countries. The alliance aims to strengthen education, research, innovation, and social engagement within a shared European Higher Education Area, with a focus on sustainability, digitalization, and social inclusion. Diversity, equality, and inclusion are core values: EULiST promotes an equitable and inclusive environment and leverages the institutional, cultural, and geographical diversity of its partner universities as a resource for innovative solutions to societal challenges. Students, researchers, and staff benefit from international exchange programs, joint projects, and the development of intercultural skills.

EULiST Task Group „Inclusion & Diversity“

The Diversity Management department at TU Wien leads the "Inclusion & Diversity" task group, actively shaping the strategic integration of equality and inclusion – particularly in STEM fields. The task group develops guidelines and measures that are compatible across Europe and implementable at individual universities. Students are directly involved in decision-making processes through the EULiST Student Board and the annual Student Conferences. Progress already achieved includes best-practice exchange among partner universities and gender parity on the Student Board. These initiatives demonstrate that EULiST and TU Wien are working together to create a sustainable, inclusive, and future-oriented university alliance.
