TU Wien Diversity Strategy — A participatory development process
Professional diversity management fosters a productive working and learning environment, enriches academic discourse through diverse perspectives, and strengthens the university's innovative capacity. It helps promote equal opportunities, integrating different viewpoints, and positioning TU Wien as an attractive and inclusive educational and research institution.
Therefore, TU Wien will develop a comprehensive diversity strategy next year, building on the overall strategy developed in the fuTUre fit process. This strategy will provide the foundation for future activities and measures to support the university's strategic goals in the medium to long term.
The strategy will be developed through a participatory process: Around 20 representatives from all governing bodies (Senate, HTU, AKG, Works Council), all faculties, as well as teaching staff, researchers, students, and general staff will contribute their perspectives. This broad involvement ensures a diversity of viewpoints, strengthens the institutional anchoring of diversity priorites, and fosters support for their implementation across the university.
