On 6 June, the AKG chair, a number of members and staff from the AKG office met at the Luftpavillon to discuss, under the moderation of Dr Helga Gartner, the key issues of the TU Wien strategy development process: namely, what TU Wien stands for today and what it should stand for in 10 years’ time.

With the involvement of former AKG member Magdalena Pöll, a new centre for innovative propulsion technology is being established at TU Wien. The Institute of Powertrain and Automotive Technology (IFA) has been conducting research into internal combustion engines, sustainable fuels and electric drives for many years. The eMOTION Lab expands this expertise with additional, state-of-the-art test facilities for electric drive systems.

Azra Korjenic, a former AKG member and project manager, has worked with a team of researchers to create a green facade at Favoritenstraße 9–11. It is the first TU Wien building to feature a green facade.
