We innovate and enhance chemical processes, developing new solutions in a sustainable and economically efficient manner. Our focus areas are valorization of renewable feedstocks using homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts, as well as adsorption-based separation processes.

Our research group provides an excellent infrastructure to effectively realize and strengthen the core competencies.

Material synthesis and characterization:
We synthesize and comprehensively characterize organic, inorganic, and hybrid materials for use as advanced catalysts and adsorbents.

Fundamental research:
We combine detailed analysis of reaction mixtures with kinetic investigations and spectroscopic studies to gain molecular-level insight into reaction mechanisms.

Applied research:
We investigate catalytic and adsorption processes under industrially relevant continuous operating conditions to evaluate long-term material performance and, where necessary, develop appropriate regeneration strategies.
