Vice Rector Matyas on the subject of course assessment

The course assessment offers all TU Wien students the opportunity to provide detailed feedback on courses. This in turn offers lecturers the opportunity to identify where courses are ‘going well’ or where there is room for improvement. In particular, students’ comments (both positive and critical) help the teaching staff to take concrete measures to improve the quality of teaching. They also enable the deans of studies to identify anomalous courses and take any necessary measures. Where the course grades are lower than average, these measures range from discussions with course leaders to the reassignment of courses.

However, the course assessment can only represent the overall quality of teaching if as many students as possible take part. I therefore ask you, for the sake of TU Wien and the following generations of students:
