• In case of immunisation by two partial vaccinations: Proof of vaccination is valid from the second vaccination onwards, whereby the first vaccination may not date back more than 9 months.
• In case of immunisation by vaccination with only one dose: Proof of vaccination is valid for 9 months from the 22nd day after vaccination with only one dose.

The City of Vienna offers different testing services - for more information, see the info page on Corona testing services in Vienna, opens an external URL in a new window. The following validity periods apply to tested persons, depending on the test carried out:

• A PCR test (e.g. via the "alles gurgelt" campaign) is valid for 48 hours from sample collection.
  The TU Wien provides PCR gargle tests to its members if required. You can obtain a maximum of 3 test kits per week from the security boxes at the TU locations by presenting your employee ID and entering your name on the list. Hand in your identity-checked test at a REWE branch of your choice (Billa, Billa Plus, Penny, Bipa or a petrol station with a REWE shop) - if this is done before 09:00 a.m., you will usually receive the result by the next morning.
• A rapid antigen test from an authorised centre is valid for 24 hours from the time the sample is taken.
  For spontaneous testing on site, you can use the tests offered by the pharmacies in the vicinity of the TU, e.g. Paulaner Apotheke (1040 Vienna, Wiedner Hauptstraße 18; Mon.-Fri. 08:00 a.m. - 02:00 p.m.) or Apotheke zum Hl. Geist (1010 Vienna, Operngasse 16).

Recovered
Persons who have already recovered can provide the following proof:

• Proof of convalescence according to §4d Epidemic Act 1950
• Certificate of segregation issued for a person who has been proven to be infected with SARS-CoV-2 in the last 180 days.
• Proof of neutralising antibodies, which must not be older than 90 days.

Access controls: Fast Lane with proof via TISS upload

You have the option of uploading your vaccination, test or recovery certificate to TISS in advance and in accordance with data protection regulations. This ensures simple and time-saving access control at the entrances ("fast lane"). We therefore recommend that you make use of this option. The security service will check the validity of your 3G credentials on your smartphone on site using a specially developed TISS feature: Details of the function and structure can be found on the TISS 3-G verification website, which is updated on an ongoing basis.

Of course, you can still show the 3G proof electronically (e.g. with the "Grüner-Pass-App" of the BRZ GmbH on your smartphone) or on paper together with your proof of identity at the access control in a separate lane. Please note, however, that this check is much more time-consuming.

Attention: Persons who do not provide 3G proof will not be admitted!

Courses can be held as face-to-face courses if the objectives, content and methods of the course have been announced for the winter semester 2021/22 to be held on site and in an online format (hybrid format). If the course is held in attendance, it is to be offered in parallel in an online format - if possible and also didactically expedient.

Excursions are permitted under defined conditions. In addition, however, a continuous one-metre distance must be maintained and a mask must be worn in accordance with §1 para. 1 of the current Rectorate Decree on COVID-19 special regulations, opens a file in a new window.

Examinations can be held on site if the contents, methods, assessment criteria and assessment standards of the course examination in face-to-face or hybrid format have been announced in the course announcement for the winter semester 2021/22. Yes, you can of course go to the toilet during an attendance examination. However, please note that the Corona safety measures must still be observed. This applies in particular to the safety distance of 1 metre. If you are sitting in one of the middle seats, please ask the person sitting next to you to stand up and clear the way so that you can leave the row of seats. The toilets are signposted accordingly.

In principle, the use of the downloaded software is recommended, as it offers more functions than the respective online versions available in the browser. However, it is possible to participate in Zoom meetings via the browser. Please note that this option can also be specifically deactivated by the host (i.e. the person who creates the meeting).

If you click on the small arrow to the right of the microphone symbol in a zoom meeting, you can change the active audio source for both the microphone and the loudspeaker.
