Against the backdrop of growing challenges in the fields of resource management, urban and natural spatial development, environmental protection and climate change, modern society requires reliable information on the underlying processes and their interactions. The ability to capture, model, integrate and communicate spatial data therefore plays a key role. The Master’s programme in Geodesy and Geoinformation, opens an external URL in a new window addresses these challenges through advanced training, equipping graduates to take on leadership roles in public authorities and organisations involved in the acquisition, processing and communication of spatial information, or in the development of software and instruments for these purposes. Graduates may also pursue a professional career as a chartered surveyor (Ingenieurkonsulent/in für Vermessungswesen) or further specialise academically by undertaking a doctoral programme.
