This Master's programme is structured as follows:
- Basics Information and Communication Engineering (18 ECTS)
- Signal Processing (9,0 ECTS)
Machine Learning Basics (9,0 ECTS)
- Signal Processing (9,0 ECTS)
- Specialisation Information and Communication Engineering (36 ECTS)
- Two modules totalling 9 ECTS each must be selected from Module Catalog A, and two advanced modules totalling 9 ECTS each must be selected from Module Catalog B (see: curriculum).
- Related specialist subjects (27 ECTS)
- Three elective modules totalling 9 ECTS each must be absolved
- Free Electives und Transferable Skills (9 ECTS)
- Diploma Thesis (30 ECTS)
Further Information
Admission to the Master’s programme in ‘Information and Communication Engineering’ is possible after completing an eligible Bachelor’s degree at an accredited national or international post-secondary educational institution.
For example, the following Bachelor's programmes are considered eligible for admission:
- Electrical Engineering and Information Technology (TU Wien)
- Computer Engineering (TU Wien)
- Electrical Engineering (TU Graz)
To compensate for fundamental subject-specific differences between your previous education and the level of qualifications expected at TU Wien, supplementary examinations totalling a maximum of 30 ECTS credits may be required.

The Master's degree programme in Information and Communication Engineering qualifies graduates - without the need for an extended onboarding period - for relevant engineering roles in the ICT sector, including the following professional profiles:
