The study-integrated qualification [SiQ!] Building Research. Historic preservation offers in-depth training within the Master's Programme in Architecture (066.443) at TU Wien. The programme is aimed at students with a special interest in the fields of historical building research, preservation of historical monuments, building documentation and analysis, as well as planning and building in historical contexts.

The content focus is set by giving priority to discipline-specific courses and thus promotes the acquisition of professionally relevant competences within the framework of regular studies. No separate registration is required and no additional tuition fees are charged. The successful completion of the required courses is evidenced in the diploma supplements upon request and distinguishes the graduates as architects who are competent in design, qualified for the chamber of architects and have in-depth knowledge in the areas of building history, building research, preservation of historical monuments and building in existing structures.
