
Building Sciences and Environment (Master)
In the Master’s programme in Building Science and Environment, students develop and deepen their knowledge in the fields of building performance, sustainable design and building informatics. Thanks to scientific and technical progress, sustainable buildings are becoming increasingly diverse in function and form, as well as more energy-efficient and tailored to the needs of their occupants. You will learn how to apply scientific methods and state-of-the-art technology to master the complex challenges posed by high-performance and sustainable buildings.

Selection Procedure
For the English-taught Master's programme Building Science and Environment, there are 35 study places available per academic year. Study places are allocated through a four-stage selection procedure, which all registered applicants who meet the general admission requirements on the basis of their previous education must go through.

- M01 Fundamentals of Science and Research (15,0 ECTS), M02 Fundamentals of Building Physics and Performance Assessment (5,0 ECTS), M03 Fundamentals of Data-driven Design Computing (5,0 ECTS), M04 Fundamentals of Structural Design, Risk and Reliability (5,0 ECTS)

Admission to the Master’s programme in ‘Building Sciences and Environment’ is possible after completing an eligible Bachelor’s degree at an accredited national or international post-secondary educational institution. Admission is subject to an individual assessment of your prior education and, where applicable, supplementary examinations.
