On 20 March 2026, the results of the completed research project PHELETYPIA – Impact of Early Photography and Electrotyping Media on the Creation of Images and Contemporary Art were presented at the historic Setzer-Tschiedel photographic studio in Vienna.

The project presentation was given by Mag. Dr Valentina Ljubić Tobisch, TU Wien, together with Mgr. art. Zuzana Šupolová and Mgr. art. Soňa Borovská from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, and Univ.-Prof. Mag. Anna Artaker from the University of Arts Linz. Prof. Mgr. art. ArtD. Janka Blaško Križanová, also a project partner from Bratislava, was unable to attend the event in person.

The final event also included an exhibition of works created within the project. The display featured nature prints produced through historical reproduction and printing processes, as well as newly made daguerreotypes created as part of the experimental reconstruction of early photographic techniques.

The exhibition highlighted the close connection between historical source research, material-scientific analysis, experimental reconstruction and artistic practice. It enabled visitors to experience the historical processes investigated in the project not only through scientific presentations, but also through newly created objects and images.
