We are currently accepting proposals for practical and research-oriented projects in the following thematic areas. If you are interested in any of these areas, please contact us directly to discuss specific project topics:
Analyses and concepts from the perspective of service providers and suppliers in real estate and facility management. Potential areas of focus include new business models, PropTech solutions, service innovations, and the market structures of the future.
Research from the perspective of real estate users and corporate real estate management. Here, we focus on topics such as “new ways of working,” workplace optimization (workplace strategies), space efficiency, and evolving user needs.
The systematic documentation, analysis, and evaluation of specific use cases for digitalization across the real estate lifecycle. The focus is on practical examples related to the Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), and smart buildings.
Research into the next generation of management and IT systems (such as CAFM and ERP) in facility management. Topics include the integration of Building Information Modeling (BIM), real-time data, and cloud-based platforms.
Contributing to large-scale empirical studies on market developments, current trends (e.g., sustainability/ESG), and value creation in national and international facility management.

- Initial meeting: During a joint meeting, we will clarify the general framework, the specific research question, and the timeline. In a one-on-one consultation, our experts will provide you with targeted support in developing a compelling proposal for your thesis.
- Registration & Formalities: Once we’ve reached an agreement, the thesis will be officially registered. Important: Please ensure on your own responsibility that you meet all the requirements and formalities of your respective faculty for registering and completing your thesis.
